We are seeking a dynamic Medical Director and Attending Physician to lead clinical strategy and patient care across our integrated system. Key Responsibilities

Medical Director Duties

  • Serve as the clinical leader and advisor across skilled nursing facilities and assisted living, assisting with clinical policy, care oversight, and innovation.
  • Oversee physician coverage and support the development of emergency response protocols and resident transfer procedures.
  • Advise on medical equipment, staffing, regulatory compliance, and future care initiatives.
  • Participate in strategic planning, staff training, and quality improvement.
  • Act as a medical ambassador within the community and promote best practices in geriatric medicine.
  • Lead interdisciplinary team meetings and guide system-wide initiatives that elevate performance and resident outcomes.
  • Provide direct care to residents as their attending physician across levels of care, including short-term rehab, long-term care, and outpatient.
  • Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and the broader care team to ensure timely, coordinated, person-centered care.
  • Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation in the EHR system.
  • Oversee operations of ambulatory care clinic providing services to residents on our campus and those living in their own homes in the community.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Board-certified in Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or Internal Medicine.
  • A passion for older adult care and a track record of clinical leadership in long-term or post-acute care.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory and reimbursement models in skilled nursing and home health.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Creative thinker eager to co-design programs that transform aging and care transitions.
  • Comfortable using electronic health records and virtual care platforms.
