The Theatre program in the School of Performing Arts at Virginia Tech, a program emphasizing traditional and emerging literary and technological practices in theatre, seeks a theatre artist and educator for a one-year appointment. Renewal of the appointment may be possible based on performance, departmental need, and available resources. Fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre, our program is committed to collaborative theatre making with a focus on artistic integrity and professionalism. The successful candidate will be a professional theatre artist/educator with a passion for teaching and the ability to contribute to the education and engagement missions of the Theatre program and School. Duties and responsibilities will include teaching History of Drama and Theatre in the fall and spring semesters, Introduction to Theatre Online Asynchronous in both semesters, and two sections of Introduction to Acting for Non-Majors in both semesters.
