Financial Services Manager

Serves as Finance Manager for designated areas. Directs financial planning and financial evaluation. Identifies and communicates areas of focus and action plans to execute financial goals and strategies.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving as a member of the management team of designated areas.
• Directing the development of operating and capital budgets for designated areas.
• Helping establish and monitor financial metrics and prepare budget variance analyses.
• Coordinating and/or performing short and long range financial analyses using appropriate techniques.
• Analyzing financial impact of proposed contracts and recommending execution.
• Analyzing operational issues affecting designated areas and the whole organization and determining their financial impact.
• Evaluating and recommending business opportunities.
• Expected to be a decision-maker and problem solver; able to find unique and efficient ways to solve difficult and complex problems.
• Providing financial education to designated areas.
• Maintaining effective working relationships with revenue cycle management, treasury, audit, tax, accounting decision support and insurance departments on behalf of designated areas.
• Supervising financial staff as assigned and providing education and training for staff.
• Managing or directing a significant corporate financial function (e.g. Budget or Treasury).

Requirements include:

• College graduate with degree in accounting, finance or business administration. Masters degree in business administration or related field desirable.
• Three to five years experience in healthcare finance, accounting or financial planning.
• CPA desirable.
