Construction Foreman

We are seeking a Construction Foreman who thrives both in the field and the office. This role is split 50/50 between hands-on fieldwork and administrative/project support, making it ideal for someone who is both computer savvy and highly experienced in construction. The individual in this role will work closely with project managers, superintendents, and customers to ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee construction projects from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and customers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Engage in hands-on fieldwork to monitor construction activities.
• Provide administrative and project support, including data entry and project coordination.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and scales to guide project execution.
• Manage paperwork and follow-up tasks to ensure project accuracy and compliance.

Essential Skills

• Strong construction background with proven field experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and scales.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Excellent research, organizational, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and paperwork management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with power and hand tools.
• No degree required experience and skills are valued most.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The role involves both fieldwork and office duties, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The dress code is casual, suitable for a dynamic construction environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Christiansburg, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
