Receiver- Fabric Department

Sam Moore Furniture, a division of Hooker Furnishings, is seeking a Receiver for our Fabric Department. Hooker Furnishings, in its 101st year of business, is a designer, marketer and importer of case goods (wooden and metal furniture), leather furniture and fabric-upholstered furniture for the residential, hospitality and contract markets.

About the Role
We are seeking a dependable, team-oriented Receiver to join our Fabric Department. In this role, you will ensure that all incoming fabric is received, documented, and organized accurately to support smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive all incoming materials daily in a timely and accurate manner.
* Use handheld mobile devices to scan, track, and verify incoming items.
* Assist with weekly and periodic inventory counts.
* Enter received products into the computer system each day with accuracy.
* Maintain a clean, organized receiving area and assist with other departmental tasks as needed.
* Safely lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with a team lift (fabric rolls can be heavy).
* Learn to operate and become certified on the order picker forklift.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
* Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently.
* Excellent attendance and reliability.
* Positive attitude and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
* Basic computer skills.
Preferred:
* Experience with receiving, inventory processes, or material tracking.
* Experience operating material-handling equipment (forklifts, order pickers, etc.).
* Prior experience working with fabric or upholstery materials.
