Sam Moore Furniture, a division of Hooker Furnishings, is seeking a Receiver for our Fabric Department. Hooker Furnishings, in its 101st year of business, is a designer, marketer and importer of case goods (wooden and metal furniture), leather furniture and fabric-upholstered furniture for the residential, hospitality and contract markets.

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable, team-oriented Receiver to join our Fabric Department. In this role, you will ensure that all incoming fabric is received, documented, and organized accurately to support smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive all incoming materials daily in a timely and accurate manner.
• Use handheld mobile devices to scan, track, and verify incoming items.
• Assist with weekly and periodic inventory counts.
• Enter received products into the computer system each day with accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized receiving area and assist with other departmental tasks as needed.
• Safely lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with a team lift (fabric rolls can be heavy).
• Learn to operate and become certified on the order picker forklift.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Positive attitude and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with receiving, inventory processes, or material tracking.
• Experience operating material-handling equipment (forklifts, order pickers, etc.).
• Prior experience working with fabric or upholstery materials.
