Job Summary and Qualifications: As a Certified Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in protecting patient safety and supporting life-saving care through precision and attention to detail. In this rewarding role, you will be a vital part of our team helping surgical staff deliver safe, effective care by ensuring every instrument and supply is clean, prepared, and ready when it is needed most.

Specific elements and essential functions include:

• Receiving, cleaning, processing, assembly and distribution of medical supplies, equipment and surgical instruments.
• Acquiring, distributing and charging for all disposable supplies and patient rental equipment.
• Preparing, assembling and packaging all medical equipment and instruments for surgery and other hospital departments including the restocking of code carts and isolation carts using the exchange cart system.
• Sterilizing all reusable equipment, supplies and instrumentation, and maintaining and operating Central Sterile equipment.
• Handling, transporting and storing sterile equipment, instruments and supplies and pulling supplies and instruments for surgical cases using the case cart system.
• Helping direct the work flow in Central Sterile Supply, setting priorities and meeting deadlines for the department.

Qualifications: Experience required previous experience as a CSS Technician. Education required high school or equivalency. Certification required - Certified Sterile Processing Technician or Certified Regional Central Service Technician and maintain certification throughout employment.
