Job Title: Laborer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated laborer for a temporary position lasting approximately one month, through mid-December. This role is perfect for someone who is keen to support skilled laborers in various construction-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled labor by taking direction from them.

• Help in the erection and removal of falsework and formwork.

• Carry and clean various materials as directed.

• Shovel or rake materials as needed.

• Adhere to all safety policies and pass a test related to safe operation in a trench.

Essential Skills

• General labor skills

• Experience with construction

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools

• Knowledge in working with concrete

• Understanding of water and wastewater systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous construction and concrete experience preferred but not required.

• Strong attendance and work ethic are crucial.

Work Environment

This role involves working outdoors, often in a water plant setting. The candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The position begins as soon as possible, and work will be conducted in a water plant located in Salem.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
