Job Title: Laborer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated laborer for a temporary position lasting approximately one month, through mid-December. This role is perfect for someone who is keen to support skilled laborers in various construction-related tasks.
Responsibilities
Assist skilled labor by taking direction from them.
Help in the erection and removal of falsework and formwork.
Carry and clean various materials as directed.
Shovel or rake materials as needed.
Adhere to all safety policies and pass a test related to safe operation in a trench.
Essential Skills
General labor skills
Experience with construction
Proficiency in using hand and power tools
Knowledge in working with concrete
Understanding of water and wastewater systems
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous construction and concrete experience preferred but not required.
Strong attendance and work ethic are crucial.

Work Environment
This role involves working outdoors, often in a water plant setting. The candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The position begins as soon as possible, and work will be conducted in a water plant located in Salem.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
