JOB SUMMARY:
Front Desk/Customer Service Specialist job entails providing a comprehensive administrative support to day-to-day operations of Data Center Technology Sales & Operations team by creating and maintaining an efficient and welcoming reception area and be the positive first impression that callers and visitors have at our Daleville, VA facility. This position liaises closely with Human Resources, Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Service departments and other departments throughout the organization providing a customer focused support service to both external and internal parties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Energetic and motivated person needed to:
Direct callers to appropriate employee(s) or departments
Greet visitors
Receive and distribute all mail and front desk deliveries
Maintain an inviting and welcoming reception area.
Maintain and order all supplies for the facility.
Maintain the various work rooms / break rooms and bring to attention any issues that arise.
Ship and manage trade show booth for sales and marketing.
Maintain all inventory for DCT SWAG and distribute as requested.
Provide general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms and reports, and arranging meetings for the HR department
Provide administrative support for the service training sessions.
Work with local vendors, restaurants, and catering companies to provide luncheons/dinners, support meetings, and create a hospitable environment for both internal and external customers.
Serve as administrative support to the various department leads as needed.
Other various administrative tasks as needed
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma
Previous customer service preferred.
Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook
Computer and phone attendant console knowledge
Good oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of office procedures and office machines
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to interact with people in a positive and supportive manner
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Professional friendly demeanor and appearance a must
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sedentary work: exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. This work requires sitting most of the time.
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
