Job Overview:

Search Solution Group is seeking a Terminal Manager on behalf of our client, a leading trucking company that transports liquid bulk products such as petroleum, chemicals, and other bulk liquids across the region. The Terminal Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Roanoke terminal, ensuring all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the company's policies, procedures, and core values. This leadership role is essential for driving operational excellence, team development, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all terminal property, assets, and equipment, ensuring optimal use and maintenance.
  
• Lead hiring, training, and performance management for terminal team members.
  
• Direct safety programs and facilitate monthly safety meetings to promote a safe workplace.
  
• Maintain strong customer service relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  
• Manage the terminal's preventative maintenance program and Equipment Management System (EMS).
  
• Regularly evaluate terminal operations and establish goals for continuous improvement.
  
• Communicate effectively with employees, customers, and company leadership.
  
• Foster an inclusive and respectful work environment with open communication.
  
• Implement and uphold company policies and operational procedures.
  
• Coordinate rate and route requests with the traffic department.
  
• Partner with marketing to address customer needs and inquiries.
  
• Approve and process repair orders and purchase requisitions promptly.
  
• Monitor driver hours to ensure compliance with hours-of-service regulations.
  
• Verify accurate and timely completion of delivery tickets and payroll documentation.
  

Requirements Include:
Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  

Experience:

• Proven leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or terminal operations.
  
• Experience in managing terminal staff and ensuring operational compliance.
  

Skills:

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement.
  
• Proficiency with maintenance management systems (EMS or similar).
  

Certifications:

• Valid driver's license required.
  
• Safety or transportation management certifications a plus.
  

Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of DOT regulations, safety standards, and compliance practices.
  
• Knowledge of liquid bulk transport operations preferred.
