Hospital Police Officer. Provides professional law enforcement services to the Carilion Clinic. These services include carrying out the objectives of the Clinic, the preservation of peace and protection of life and property, the prevention of crime and the enforcement of laws.#lawenforcement Locates and investigates suspicious conditions and complaints by responding to calls and patrolling Carilion Clinic facilities for security breaches such as unlocked doors and open windows. Assists and coordinates with outside law enforcement agencies while they are interacting with hospital services, visitors, patients or staff. Guards and/or provides security for prisoners, mental health patients, special events, dignitaries and staff when a need is identified. Responds quickly and professionally to all calls for service involving traffic, criminal or non-criminal incidents and requests for information or assistance.
