Variable hours; 1 8-hour shift on weekend per month. Student will not be scheduled for work if school clinical rotation interferes. The imaging technician student is involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for and/or performing ultrasound examinations for diagnosis of patients. Applies knowledge of growth and development to appropriately care for all patients served. Under direct supervision of a registered technologist, operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality radiographs. Performs duties associated with processing patients, which may include scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing skills.
