Job Duties

Provides administrative, fiscal, and technical support for the Regional Managers through good customer skills, proficient filing of all documents, good secretarial and computer skills. Maintains filing, processes mail, completes vouchers, and utilizes eVA for ordering items needed for the office. Purchasing using the P-Card (Visa) log and processing invoices for payment. Makes Hotel reservations for office staff as required. Supports the regional office in regards to computer equipment and maintenance of that equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated experience providing administrative, fiscal, and technical support in a professional office setting. Strong customer service skills and proficiency in organizing and filing documents. Excellent secretarial and computer skills, including the ability to operate standard office equipment and utilize computer systems effectively. Proven ability to perform detailed work with numerical data. Exceptional organizational, written, verbal communication, and keyboarding skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, and Word.

Additional Considerations

Knowledge of Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) policies and procedures, as well as Commonwealth of Virginia Purchase and Supply and Commonwealth Accounting policies and procedures. Prior experience in bookkeeping and working with computers, office equipment, and within a professional office environment.
