This position is a part-time position that will work AM shift with alternating weekends up to 29 hours per week. Applies appropriate cleaning techniques, procedures and the use of products/equipment to a broad range of surfaces while engaged in a range of housekeeping duties which include but is not limited to sweeping, dust mopping, damp/wet mopping, dusting, polishing, scrubbing, vacuuming and waste/trash removal. Housekeeping service also includes routine replenishment of supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, hand soaps, deodorants, cleaning-up of body fluids and body waste. Keeps housekeeping storage and housekeeping cart clean and organized. Equipment utilized is cleaned after each use, and properly stored. Equipment malfunctions and repair needs are brought to Supervisors' attention. Performs all functions of job by adhering to department and facility policies and procedures. Maintains records/reports/data associated with detail cleaning, discharge/terminal cleaning and periodic cleaning requirements. Performs other duties as may be assigned that are within Environmental Services' mission and as situations warrant in meeting the overall needs of the facility. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Knowledge in the use of a variety of supplies and equipment used in routine cleaning of offices, resident rooms, public spaces and utility areas.
High School Diploma desired.
