Role:

The Marketing Specialist I provides support to the Marketing team through graphic design, social media, and other content creation. The Marketing Specialist I will work with the Creative Team under the VP of Marketing to promote the Freedom First brand, services, and products via our advertising channels.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

30% Creative development of all credit union marketing materials including creating, designing, and writing copy where necessary. Plus, Design compelling content for advertising on a variety of platforms, both digital and print that effectively communicates the credit union's value, mission, and endeavors while maintaining a consistent brand voice.

25% Maintain and constantly update web advertising including SEO/SEM, social media, email, display, and mobile to drive brand awareness, website traffic, and lead acquisition. Maintain FFCU's social media accounts by creating dynamic content and replying to messages in a timely manner; continue evolving posting strategies to keep up with changing platform algorithms.

15% Track, interpret, and report performance data for online advertising, web traffic, and SEO; work with the team to develop strategies to improve performance.

5% Stay up to date with website design and development.

5% Identify and develop promotional video ideas, then produce a finished product for use by the credit union on Youtube, website, InLighten and other Social media platforms.

5% Create meaningful written content for ad creatives, newsletters, proposals, and other media that effectively communicates the credit union's value, mission, and endeavors while maintaining a consistent brand voice.

5% Identify new grant opportunities for FFCU and Freedom First Enterprises manage application timelines and coordinate with Community Development in the day-to-day operations. Serve as the Community Development Liaison.

5% Support all other departments as needed.

5% Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

Must comply with government and other regulations affecting the credit union industry including, but not limited to, OFAC and the Bank Secrecy Act.

Meets or exceeds performance expectations as described in Essential Functions and Responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience Six months to one year of general work environment experience. At least two years of experience in customer service, retail, event planning, or a related field.

Education (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).

Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills Effective organizational, relational, collaborative, and communication skills adaptable for all levels of the organization. Strong Written Communication Skills Required - Must write clearly and informatively; Edit work for spelling and grammar; Vary writing style to meet needs and audience; Present numerical data effectively. Above average Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills level. Technical writing and presentation skills must be strong. Skill and ability to use and operate a keyboard (typewriter), computer, calculator, copier and telephone.

To manage Scoop, the employee must be able to drive a large vehicle, open the serving window, and coordinate truck maintenance with Operations.

Work Environment This position is required to work a variety of hours in order to accommodate events. Work is performed both indoors in an office environment with normal potential for exposure to safety and health hazards and outside where the environment can change often. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
