Job Details

Volunteers are needed in the Ronald McDonald Family Room, located in Carilion Clinic Children's Hospital, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Duties include answering the phone, registering guests, maintaining a clean and orderly room, make coffee and restock snacks and provide a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Volunteer needs to complete a Ronald McDonald House Charities application (www.rmhc-swva.org) and a Carilion Clinic application, take a flu shot each year, do a TB test, background check and do a drug screening (all paid for by Carilion). Must complete on-site training by RMHC Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteer must be 18 years or older.

4 shifts available:

• Four 3-hour shifts per day starting at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m. 6 p.m. for the Family Room.: 09:00 to 12:00 EST
• 12:00 to 15:00 EST
• 15:00 to 18:00 EST
• 18:00 to 21:00 EST
