Led by principal investigator Anthony-Samuel La. Mantia, PhD., the La. Mantia Lab at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute, focuses on the developmental mechanisms that build neural circuits for distinct behaviors. Dr. La. Mantia's goal is to use insights into basic development and genetics to address the causes and help develop new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for the broad range of developmental disorders that compromise the brain as well as other organ systems. These disorders result in a lifetime of health challenges for the affected infants and children, as well as for their families and caregivers. The laboratory is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate should have at least a Bachelors degree in biology or a related field.
