Description:

We are seeking a Foundry Manager (Supervisor) or similar role to play a crucial role in providing turnkey manufacturing solutions to industrial clients that work with metal and plastic components.This is a great position for a someone who has strong experience working in a foundry and who can enjoy:-No more weekend work or calls at inconvenient times.-No longer having to worry about all problems coming to you and getting phone calls all the time.-No longer being tied to the job 24/7-Not having to deal with the physically demanding aspects of working in the foundryThe ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing foundry operations, including casting, molding, and pouring processes. This role involves working on-site with both customers and suppliers to identify and solve problems effectively.This role appears to be a hybrid position, combining foundry management responsibilities with technical and customer-facing tasks. While it could be considered an operations role, it s not purely engineering in the traditional sense of designing, building, or managing systems.Position Highlights:Lead foundry operations, overseeing casting, molding, and metal pouring processes.Collaborate directly with customers to ensure metal components are designed for optimal manufacturability.Assess and recommend the best manufacturing processes or metallurgical options from prototyping to production.Identify and troubleshoot part quality issues, working with foundry and machining facilities to achieve desired results.Perform audits of off-site foundries and other suppliers.Support account managers by providing technical expertise to enhance their sales efforts.Skills and Qualifications:Proficiency in engineering solutions to drive profitability.Direct experience managing ferrous and non-ferrous foundry processes.Expertise in metal casting, molding, and pouring operations.Experience in defect analysis of castings.Expertise in nondestructive examinations of metal parts (e.G., Visual, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Radiography, Pressure, and Ultrasonic testing).Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to perform effectively under high pressure and stressful situations.A strong drive to succeed.Effective organizational skills.A minimum of a bachelor s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Engineering.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Our Client offers a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and a dynamic work environment.
