Performs responsible technical work involving the multidisciplinary inspection of residential, public facilities, and storm water systems for mechanical, electrical, gas, plumbing, building construction, and/or erosion and sediment control devices to ascertain compliance with codes, ordinances, regulations and approved plans. Performs other duties as assigned. Salary will depend on qualifications ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Inspects residential and commercial building construction to ensure that building construction and the installation of mechanical heating, ventilation and airconditioning systems, electrical systems, and plumbing are performed in compliance with the applicable codes. Maintains as-built records. Inspects erosion and sediment control measures to enforce Roanoke Countys Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance. Maintains as-built records.
