About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager with a strong background in metals manufacturing to lead plant operations and drive performance across production, quality, and safety. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes while meeting customer, quality, and delivery requirements. The ideal candidate has proven experience managing metalworking operations such as stamping, machining, fabrication, or welding, combined with strong leadership and continuous improvement expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations in a metals-based production environment, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and production teams to build a high-performance culture.
  • Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow to optimize production efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Kaizen, and 5S, to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to resolve production challenges and support new product introductions.
  • Monitor KPIs (OEE, scrap, downtime, throughput, etc.) and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage staffing levels, training, and performance management to maintain a skilled workforce.
  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements related to metal forming and fabrication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, with strong knowledge of metals (stamping, machining, fabrication, welding, or related processes).
  • Proven track record of managing production in a high-volume or custom metals manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
