How Youll Help Transform Healthcare: The Communication Specialist is one of the first points of contact for patients and prospective patients with Carilion Clinic. Working in a call center environment, the Communications Specialist serves as a central link of communication between Carilion Clinic, patients, and the general public. This position is responsible for answering calls, interpreting referral shells, canceling and rescheduling appointments, and providing general information for multiple clinical departments across a large geographic region. What We Require: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: Three years customer service experience in an environment that requiring multi-tasking such as a call center, physicians office, hospitality or retail/service industry. Call center experience preferred.
