Position Title: Veterinary Assistant (Administrative/Clerical Support Only)
Pay Rate: $15.00 - $ 18.50/hour
Location: Troutville, VA
Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our team in a non-clinical, administrative capacity. This role is vital to the daily operations of our front desk and back office. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a high volume of incoming calls, scheduling appointments, managing records, and providing exceptional client service.

Note: This position does not involve handling or assisting with animals.
Key Responsibilities:

• Answer and manage a high volume of phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
• Schedule appointments and communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their needs
• Manage and update patient records in our system with accuracy and confidentiality
• Greet clients and check in/out appointments as needed
• Assist with administrative tasks including filing, scanning, data entry, and mail distribution
• Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure efficient and organized front-office operations
• Follow clinic protocols and provide consistent, compassionate customer service

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a healthcare, veterinary, or medical office setting is highly valued
• Call center or high-volume reception experience strongly preferred
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with medical/veterinary terminology is a plus
• Comfortable working with scheduling and practice management software
• High attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay Details: $15.00 to $18.50 per hour
