Job Summary:

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work. This role plays a critical part in ensuring project bids are competitive and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates
• Prepare quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to align budgets with project scope
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and project risks
• Prepare detailed bid proposals and budgets for review and submission
• Maintain and update cost databases and pricing references
• Participate in bid reviews, pre-construction meetings, and project planning discussions

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in construction estimating
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, RSMeans) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Experience estimating residential and/or commercial projects
• Knowledge of local construction markets and cost trends
