Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Engineer/Project Manager to join our dynamic team at Tread Corporation, a leading manufacturer of highly customized and application-specific mining and construction equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of complex hydraulic, electrical and control system designs, coupled with exceptional project management skills. They will collaborate closely with global customers, engineering teams, and sales professionals to deliver innovative solutions that meet and exceed our clients' expectations. The candidate will have to travel internationally with a strong customer focus and a proven track record in the mining and quarrying industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving the development and delivery of cutting-edge equipment tailored to the unique needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:
2. Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
3. Facilitate the proposal development for multiple ongoing projects at a time and compliance to build schedule.
4. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and manufacturing to ensure seamless project execution and quality.
5. Implement project management best practices and methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Effectively work across multiple IT systems to fully understand how to price Tread equipment, unit sub-assemblies and OEM parts
7. Engineering Design and Development:
8. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop highly customized and application-specific mining equipment.
9. Assist in the design complex hydraulic, electric and control systems tailored to the specific requirements of each project.
10. Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the design and development process.
11. Customer Collaboration:
12. Serve as a primary point of contact for global customers, establishing strong relationships and understanding of their unique needs and challenges.
13. Actively engage with customers to gather feedback, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose innovative solutions.
14. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering superior products and services that address customer needs effectively.
15. New Product Development:
16. Generate and evaluate new ideas and concepts for both existing and new products, leveraging industry knowledge and market trends.
17. Participate in the development of product roadmaps and strategic initiatives to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
18. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into actionable plans and deliverables.
19. Recommend new product introductions to the organization and plan the first prototype qualifications and deliverables.
20. Participate in the commissioning of a new product offering and recommend updates to the design.
21. Industry Expertise:
22. Utilize broad experience in the delivery of explosive manufacturing units in the mining and quarrying industry to inform decision-makers and solve customer's challenges.
23. Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and relevance of products and solutions.
24. Provide advanced technical expertise to customers including chassis selection, capacity constraints and control system optimization to the customers needs.
25. Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on products, new product development, lead times and marketing techniques.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Proven 5+ year's experience in project management and engineering design within the mining or quarrying industry, with a focus on highly customized and application-specific equipment.
• Strong understanding of complex hydraulic, electrical and control system designs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global customers and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate and provide new ideas for existing and new products.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and solutions.
• Knowledge of international regulations for transport of dangerous goods by road.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle high pressure situations with professionalism and cultural consideration.
• Strives for accuracy, analysing problems from multiple influencers in order to gain the complete understanding before drawing conclusions and taking action.

Pay Details: $155,000.00 to $165,000.00 per year
