Job Description: HR Generalist

Position Summary: The HR Generalist is responsible for delivering a seamless and engaging onboarding experience that sets new employees up for long-term success. This role oversees all aspects of the onboarding process, from pre-employment coordination to orientation and post-start integration support. The HR Generalist partners with hiring managers and cross-functional teams to ensure that new hires have the documentation, training, access, and resources needed for a successful start.


Key Responsibilities:


Onboarding Coordination:

  • Coordinate all pre-employment activities, including background checks, documentation, and offer acceptance.
  • Plan and facilitate new hire orientation sessions, ensuring content is current and engaging.
  • Ensure timely setup of system access, workspace, tools, and resources for each new employee.


New Hire Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during their onboarding period.
  • Provide integration support and guidance to help new employees acclimate to the organization.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to develop department-specific onboarding plans.


Process Improvement:

  • Evaluate and enhance onboarding procedures to improve new hire experience and engagement.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from new employees to drive continuous improvement.


Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate onboarding records and ensure compliance with legal and organizational policies.
  • Ensure all necessary forms and documentation are completed and filed appropriately.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of HR experience, with a focus on onboarding, employee engagement, or talent management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
