Job Title: Director of Human Resources – Engineering Function

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead the HR strategy for our expansive Engineering function, comprised of over 600 engineers across multiple global locations. This role will be responsible for partnering closely with Engineering leadership and working in alignment with the Director of Corporate Human Resources to drive talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee engagement, and leadership development within this vital business unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR business partner to the VP of Engineering and their leadership team.
  • Partner with the Director of Corporate Human Resources to align HR initiatives with company-wide strategies.
  • Lead HR strategy and execution across engineering departments in the U.S., India, and other locations.
  • Build and manage programs to attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to align sourcing and pipeline development with the engineering roadmap.
  • Implement performance management, succession planning, and technical leadership development frameworks.
  • Analyze workforce data and develop insights and recommendations for organizational effectiveness.
  • Support change management and organizational design initiatives to scale engineering operations.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and company standards across all locations.
  • Coach and counsel engineering leaders on people issues, conflict resolution, and team performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in an HRBP or HR leadership role supporting technical or engineering organizations.
  • Experience supporting large, global technical teams (ideally 300+ employees).
  • Strong understanding of engineering career frameworks, technical job families, and global compensation models.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex organizational initiatives and influence senior leadership.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills, and cross-cultural competence.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering-driven organization preferred.
