Job Description

Join a team creating the next generation of technology that will change the very nature of night vision for military and first responders in the field.

This role functions as a sensor development technician on integrated product teams tasked with the development of chip-scale image sensors and related night vision technology. This position requires the ability to work across teams designing for ultra-high vacuum, semiconductor, and high voltage applications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work.
  • Performing troubleshooting to determine problems in the process and/or related equipment.
  • Working with complex machines or computer systems.
  • Dismantling, adjusting, repairing, calibrating, aligning, assembling, and operating equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, manuals, sketches, or drawings.
  • Meticulously documenting process steps and work performed in sensor development.
  • Communicating effectively with engineering staff, design team leaders, and facility personnel.

Additional duties:

  • Collaborating with manufacturing engineering and subject matter experts to ensure designs are manufacturable within cost targets.
  • Coordinating schedules for access to standard production equipment.
  • Creating, recording, and presenting test data for analysis.
  • Participating in peer reviews to provide input on manufacturing capability, failure modes, control planning, and process qualification.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, equivalent degree, or related work experience; manufacturing engineering support.
  • 9+ years of related work experience.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform process engineering tasks commensurate with experience.
  • Compliance with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, and company policies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Proficiency with computer systems.

Preferred Skills

  • Vacuum technology experience.
  • Semiconductor experience.
  • Chemical etching experience.
