Position Summary

The Regional Vice President of Sales is responsible for driving profitable sales growth, enhancing customer satisfaction and retention, and ensuring the highest quality in sales processes across all business lines including systems, services, and components. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders, to streamline sales operations and ensure an efficient order-entry process. The RVP will also be tasked with implementing comprehensive training programs for the sales team and driving measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate sales performance. Additionally, the RVP will work closely with the Senior Vice Presidents of Power Systems (SVP Systems), Services, and Components to develop and execute a robust cross-business unit (BU) and cross-sell strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Customer Satisfaction & Retention - Lead initiatives to enhance overall customer satisfaction and improve customer retention across the portfolio, based off VOC and other methods of feedback. Analyze customer feedback and retention metrics to identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to boost long-term relationships. Act as the executive sponsor for key accounts, ensuring the delivery of quality service and fostering lasting partnerships.
  • Sales Process & Quotation Quality - Collaborate with key stakeholders (finance, operations, etc.) to design and implement a seamless, end-to-end sales order process that includes clear guidelines for order entry, pricing approvals, and required documentation. Ensure the sales team delivers accurate, timely, and competitive quotations, maintaining high standards for quality and consistency. Develop systems and tools to track and improve quote-to-order conversion rates.
  • Training & Development - Collaborate with our training and marketing teams to design and deliver sales training programs to ensure all sales team members are fully versed in the company's products, services, and value propositions. Leverage ongoing training for new sales hires and existing sales teams to ensure continued professional development and product knowledge. Develop sales dashboards in CRM that can be utilized to track internal and external sales.
  • Sales Performance Management & Quote Activity – Monitor, measure, and drive sales proposal/quote activity for the assigned region. Drive the growth of healthy sales pipeline with regular pipeline reviews. Ensure strong quote activity to grow the overall pipeline growth and hygiene. Measure sales performance, customer engagement, and product penetration across various end-markets. Monitor individual and team performance, provide regular feedback and coaching to achieve and exceed targets. Use data analytics to drive decision-making and develop action plans based on sales performance and market trends.
  • Cross-BU Sales Strategy - Champion a comprehensive cross-business unit and cross-sell strategy. Identify opportunities across all lines of business, foster synergy, and maximize revenue potential. Support the sales team in identifying cross-selling opportunities and executing account-based marketing plans. Attend Trade Shows with Sales teams and fostering relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Leadership & Team Development - Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture focused on excellence and continuous improvement. Lead by example in driving customer-centric solutions and promoting teamwork across various functions within the organization. Effectively lead by influence across multiple stakeholders and business units. Own the total sales function and provide leadership, measurement tools, and partnership with Business Units to achieve our organic growth goals.
  • Marketing & Sales Collaboration – Partner with the marketing team to ensure strong collaboration and partnership in driving key growth initiatives, sales and marketing campaigns, customer solutions, and key account development. Collaborate with National Account BDMs to drive sales and profitability growth.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and minimum 15 years of sales experience.
  • Proven track record of driving customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and process improvements.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to work closely with Finance on sales processes and pricing models.
  • Experience developing and delivering sales training programs and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics, and forecasting tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience collaborating across different business units and developing cross-selling strategies.
  • Knowledge of various industry standards such as: NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA. Strong background and experience in most types of high voltage equipment up to 230kV class.
  • Working knowledge of the competitive power industry markets and utilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate focus towards business growth and opportunities.
  • Proven Sales experience, creating and closing sales opportunities.
  • Collaborative team player who works to bring people and results together. Ability to form lasting partnerships with BU leaders and GMs.
  • Opportunistic with a “Bias to Action”. Results driven yet focused on doing things “the right way” for long term success.
  • Optimistic and a “can do” attitude.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills. Experience presenting in front of groups, C-Level executives, and senior decision makers. Ability to conduct effective presentations remotely using video conferencing software such as Zoom.
  • Ability to confidently and effectively engage high-level decision makers in respective businesses and cultivate relationships at the C-Suite level.
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed.
  • Strong analytical, technical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to meet customers and internal stakeholders.
  • For positions that utilize a company vehicle, you will be required to have a valid driver's license.

Additional Information

Travel: â¯up to 50% Travel

Job: Full-Time

Location: Remote

Compensation: Pay ranges from $215,640.91 to $265,461.06 USD yearly (depending on experience) + Bonus.

Relocation: Relocation assistance is not available.
