Lead Production in a Process-Driven, High-Impact Environment

We're hiring a hands-on Production Manager to lead frontline manufacturing operations. If you're experienced in extrusion, blending, or other continuous processing environments—such as plastics, compounding, food or chemical production—you'll feel right at home. You'll guide a team of up to 40 operators to deliver high-quality product, on time, and always with safety and continuous improvement in mind.

What You'll Do

Drive Operational Excellence

• Ensure our compounded plastics meet quality specs and ship on schedule

• Monitor metrics across throughput, scrap, and uptime — and make informed improvements

• Implement and enforce standard work, 5S, and lean tools like SMED to reduce changeovers

Lead & Develop Teams

• Lead, coach, and support hourly operators

• Promote a safe, clean work environment and reinforce safety protocols

• Plan and support cross-training and job rotation for workforce flexibility

• Address workplace concerns such as absenteeism, performance, or morale

Continuous Improvement Mindset

• Solve production issues using data and root-cause analysis

• Collaborate across departments (scheduling, maintenance, quality, etc.)

• Drive a customer-focused culture that embraces improvement and innovation

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing; plastics, compounding, or extrusion strongly preferred. Experience in similar continuous processing industries (food, chemical, etc.) will be considered

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and implement change on the floor

• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement tools
