Process engineering position focused on the manufacturing of the phosphor-coated fiber optics. Responsibilities include:Optimizing manufacturing processes and equipment to reduce touch time, minimize cost, and increase yield. Working with Operations group to manage process improvement, defect analysis, and operator training. Working in cross functional team settings to minimize or eliminate safety, quality, delivery, and productivity problems. Conducting failure analysis of components to determine root cause and implement corrective actions. Increase image intensifier performance (Phosphor Efficiency, Resolution, MTF, etc.) as part of cross-functional team. Qualifications. Ability to obtain a Security Clearance. BS in Chemical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering or equivalent experience with critical thinking and problem-solving skills 2 years of technical experience or academic research in optics or related field.
