The Public Safety Division at Virginia Tech is comprised of the Police Department, Environmental Health & Safety, and the Office of Emergency Management and has a critical role in supporting the well-being of our community. We are essential in planning for and responding to emergency events, and in creating a culture of preparedness where employees and students are safe in their work and living environments. Security Center Representatives provide security, safety, and community services to University employees, students, and visitors. This position is responsible for monitoring and utilizing the campus video surveillance system for the purposes of deterring and providing information regarding criminal and safety incidents, activating the Universitys emergency notification system, answers calls on the departments main line and provides assistance or forwards to the Regional 911 Center as needed, monitors direct and silent emergency alarms notifying responsible parties, and answers no...Security, Representative, Public Safety, Communications, Retail, Education, Information
