Requirements:
high school diploma or GED is required.
Minimum of one year assembly experience in a light industrial setting is preferred.
Experience working with mechanical parts preferred.
Must be able to read, understand and follow assembly instructions, blueprints, wiring diagrams.
Must be able to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, calipers and others.
Technicians needs to be able to operate small lifts, pallet jacks and other lifting equipment (training provided).
Must be able to understand mechanical assembly.
Physical Demands (Due to nature of job):
Must be able to be on the feet all shift.
The candidate should be able to lift 50 pounds with assistance.
Must be able to use hands to assemble components.
Must not have allergies or issues related to handling metals including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel.
Must be able to work with various epoxies without allergic reaction.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, technicians will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
While all reasonable safety procedures are used, technicians have to be comfortable in this environment.
Employees will also be exposed to adhesive fumes, airborne particles and heat.
While the work area is normally clean, safe and not loud there are machines making parts so some noise and metal flakes can be expected.
