Essential Duties:

• ssemble components with interference fits using ovens to heat parts and hydraulic presses.
• Basic electrical testing on components, subassemblies and assemblies.

• Work with hand tools, epoxies, and adhesives to assemble electric motors according to work instructions/schematics.

Requirements:

• high school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year assembly experience in a light industrial setting is preferred.
• Experience working with mechanical parts preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand and follow assembly instructions, blueprints, wiring diagrams.
• Must be able to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, calipers and others.
• Technicians needs to be able to operate small lifts, pallet jacks and other lifting equipment (training provided).
• Must be able to understand mechanical assembly.

Physical Demands (Due to nature of job):

• Must be able to be on the feet all shift.
• The candidate should be able to lift 50 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to use hands to assemble components.
• Must not have allergies or issues related to handling metals including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel.
• Must be able to work with various epoxies without allergic reaction.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this position, technicians will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
• While all reasonable safety procedures are used, technicians have to be comfortable in this environment.
• Employees will also be exposed to adhesive fumes, airborne particles and heat.
• While the work area is normally clean, safe and not loud there are machines making parts so some noise and metal flakes can be expected.
