Major Function:
The Extrusion Line Operator controls and monitors the film production of his or her designated line(s). Oversees the quality, housekeeping, and safety of the designated extrusion line(s). Maintains clear communication with all Plant Department in an effort to produce quality base film.
Primary Duties:
Verifies current production blend is consistent with the control blend.
Monitors film treatment; opacities, surface defects, edge weave, and ensures smooth slitted edges on film rolls.
Records and monitors gauge profiles across the entire film web.
Ensures film rolls are consistently wound within specific roll hardness/variance tolerances.
Accurately fills out appropriate production/downtime paperwork.
