Description
We're searching for a diligent office assistant to provide administrative support in our Salem, VA office (not a remote position). You'll be responsible for handling a variety of tasks including but not limited to answering questions and inquiries in a friendly and timely manner, implementing office standards to streamline our processes, scheduling appointments and follow up's, ordering office equipment, along running local appointments (for example post office, DMV).
Applicants should be extremely thorough, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and have some background in customer service.
Responsibilities
•Answer incoming business calls and direct them to the appropriate team member
•Help maintain customer files, ensuring company policies are followed
•Assist in the preparation of sales packets
•Assist Realtors, Sales Managers, and Office managers with various tasks
•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Express is helpful
•Able to multi-task and adapt to changes with ease
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Possess strong customer service skills
•Professional demeanor and appearance
•Able to comply with all company policies and procedures
•Able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
•Cooperative and collaborative, willing and eager to work in a team environment, assist with miscellaneous duties as required
•Create and implement data entry protocols to streamline processes and increase productivity
•Oversee online and print marketing efforts
•Improve skill sets through employee development programs
•Facilitate communication between our customers and team to ensure customer satisfaction
•Plan community events to market the company and increase brand awareness
Qualifications
•Must be reliable and dependable
•Proven track record of completing projects on time in an orderly manner
•Proficient in basic computer software and can quickly learn to use new programs
•Prior experience in office management or our industry is a plus
•High school diploma or GED required, some college experience preferred
•Enjoys talking with customers and can communicate through verbal and written channels
