JOB DESCRIPTION

M-Th 7:30 to 5, Friday 8-12.

This role is a temp position covering while someone is on leave.



The candidate might need to drive to the Blacksburg, VA location occasionally as well.

Here is what you can expect in this role:

• Receive and verify incoming supplies/materials


• Unload incoming materials and maintain dock/warehouse area


• Package components and final assemblies per detailed packing instructions and process supporting documentation for all product shipment


• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies


• Assist with daily pickups and deliveries between facilities


• Perform other duties as assigned

Here's what you'll need to be considered:

• A high school diploma or related education (GED)


• A valid driver's license


• Ability to interpret sales order instructions in order to determine shipping/packing methods and correct data entry to complete shipments


• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation is required


• Must have a fork truck certification or the ability to attain the certification


• Proficiency in basic computer skills is required (i.e. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, data entry)


• Ability to be self-motivated and able to multitask with minimal supervision

Desired skills/knowledge for the job:

• Previous shipping experience is a plus


• Familiarity with carrier computer systems such as UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers to process shipments is desired


• Previous experience using Baan is a plus
