Altamira has an open position for a highly qualified and talented Director of Contracts, with a proven record and performance in the U.S. Government contracting role at our McLean or Warrenton, Virginia location.

Responsibilities

  • Government and Commercial contracts management, throughout the contract lifecycle, including:
    • Negotiation of various contractual agreements and instruments with customers, teaming partners and vendors, such as prime contracts, subcontract agreements, pricing, teaming agreements and nondisclosure agreements,
    • Leading the proposal cost volume preparation, compliance, rate negotiations, profitability analyses, risk mitigation, subcontract management, purchasing, and contract closeouts,
    • Supporting proposal preparations in response to government solicitations, such as IDIQs, task orders, BAAs, GSA schedules, etc.,
    • Support audits of company systems, processes, and schedules as required,
  • Work closely with Program Management and Operations, Business Development & Capture teams, Proposal teams, Finance and Accounting, and other functions to achieve the desired results.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree and/or professional certification is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in government contracts management, subcontracts management, and pricing; at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance; existing clearance is highly desirable.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results‑driven, proven track record of successfully managing priorities and contractual matters, building and mentoring a team of high performers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, MS Project, Outlook).
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work independently.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment across all the organizations in the company.

Other Desired Skills

  • General knowledge of Deltek software.
  • Knowledge and prior use of Costpoint, GovWin is helpful in this position, but not required.
